Headquartered in Mudau, Germany, AURORA has been designing and manufacturing climate control products for mobile vehicle markets since the 1930s. It all began in 1928 when Konrad G. Schulz installed a water heater into a Ford Model A for private use. Quickly realizing the market potential for Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems in mobile vehicles, AURORA Konrad G. Schulz GmbH was founded shortly thereafter. By the mid-1930s, the production of heating systems designed for trains had already begun.
After the Second World War, AURORA began working even closer with the German railways. In 1965, AURORA began a new chapter by relocating to their present day production facilities in the Southwestern Regions of Germany. Not only has AURORA experienced continuous increases in production volume, but their expertise has seen simultaneous growth as well.
Today, with engineering centers located in Germany, the United States, Turkey, China, and the Netherlands, AURORA’s presence has been established on five continents. The 2013 addition of HEAVAC to the group helped AURORA penetrate untapped markets using a new found synergy alongside their extended product portfolio and specialized sales force.
