Sustainability ahead - evaporative cooling system: conversion to a closed system!
After the successful implementation of our project "planting trees for the climate" and the change of our oil heating system to a pellet heating system, we are now realizing the conversion of our evaporative cooling system to a closed cooling system. Until now, we have cooled our machines in the plastic injection molding department via an open cooling tower. However, this evaporates a lot of water, which must be treated and replenished, and the water quality suffers. Costly water treatment to prevent the formation of legionella and algae is necessary. With this in mind, we are converting the open system to a closed system, to reduce our energy and operating costs. This conversion will save us 7 tons of CO2 per year and a total of over 34.000€ per year in additive costs.
